[Action]
[Now that Regal has exhausted his healing abilities, carried a couple of people home and generally helped wherever he was needed, it's his turn to limp home, worn-out and more than a little dispirited (though he's trying his best not to show it). Feel free to run into him on his way back to House 27!]
[Action]
It's doubtful he has enough energy left to do anything about any wounds she might have anyway, so that's for the best. They're both in desperate need of sleep.]
[Action]
In need of sleep? Why, Gelda's already catching up on it. He'd be a wise man if he were to do the same thing right now. His bedmate can wake up to the horrible smell a few hours later, when she's no longer borderline comatosed.]
[Action]
His eyes are already sliding shut of their own accord as he yawns and curls up, making sure to leave her some room on the bed. Having her wake up and get the wrong idea would be a bad thing indeed. He's already been at the mercy of her fearsome broom-fu once.
He'll be joining you in dreamland now if you don't mind~]
[Action]
She awakens a bit more than five hours later, slightly dazed. It takes her a few seconds to fully comprehend where she is and why her body feels like lead. A faint smile tugs at her lips when she turns her head to see Regal, but decides not to get up just yet for two reasons. The first being that she's still tired and the second being that she doesn't want to risk waking him. So instead, she scoots towards him just slightly and closes her eyes again to keep on napping.]
[Action]
There's really no risk of waking him; he's out like a light and not likely to wake up anytime soon. The battle took a lot out of him both physically and mentally, with Zelos' death hitting him particularly hard. Right now sleep is a chance to let himself just shut all that out and recover.
So while he might not wake, he's nice and warm and solid to curl up against if Gelda wants.]
[Action]
When she awakens another two hours later, she realizes it'd be best to get up and make herself some early breakfast. It's roughly six in the morning judging by the sunset and she can't sleep any more, so she might as well. Ensuring to make as little sound as possible, she pushes herself off the bed and tiptoes out the door to head downstairs.]
[Action]
Regal doesn't even notice that she's gone... she could be wearing heels and tapdancing right next to him and he still wouldn't wake up just yet. However, what IS enough to awaken him is the scent of something delicious cooking that eventually manages to waft its way upstairs, reminding him that he hasn't eaten a proper meal in almost three days now. Rubbing at his eyes, he's going to follow that smell and stumble downstairs.]
[Action]
Good morning.
[Action]
It's already morning?
[Considering how long and thick his hair is, he also has some pretty epic bedhair right about now.]
[Action]
I'd say so, considering the sun has just risen.
[She gestures to one of the chairs so Regal can take a seat. The food's going to be done soon, anyway.]
[Action]
He doesn't need a second invitation to sit down, stifling a yawn as he does so.]
I must have slept for longer than I'd thought.
[Action]
[She gives him one last smile before turning her attention back to the frying pan. That delicious smell is making her stomach churn anxiously, considering she hasn't been eating well these past few days.]

[Action]
[Action]
... my apologies.
[Action]
It's fine.
[Flipping over the bacon, now. Yum yum.]
[Action]
Did you sleep well? I apologize for not taking you to your own room, but I was afraid I would not be able to make it down the hall in my condition.
[Action]
Mm, I slept like a log. You could've dumped me in the storage closet and I still would've had a good night's rest.
[Action]
I suspect I would have done much the same myself had I not managed to make it to the bed. At that point, even the floor would have been a viable option.
[Action]
It seems we've both been stressing our limits these past few days, then.
[Action]
Indeed, but I have no regrets. I only wish I had been able to do more.
[Action]
That makes two of us, then.
[She sets one of the plates down in front of Regal and takes the seat opposite him.]
[Action]
Thank you.
[When she sets the plate down, he reaches out to place a hand over hers for a brief moment before withdrawing it to allow her to sit down.]
It's funny how things like this make one realize what is truly important.
[Action]
Mm, that's quite true. Friends, family, loved ones... We need to hold them all close while we still can.
[Action]
[And now he's thinking about Zelos, whom he wasn't able to help. Of all the people he had been worried about most in this battle, Zelos hadn't been one of them. That's why his death hit Regal particularly hard.]
