[It's with a decidedly solemn air that Regal picks up his journal today. He always hates having to inform others of things like this, but as he was really the only one (that he knew of) who checked on Miu regularly, he figures it's his duty to do so. Her other friends would want to know, and besides, she'd been here for so long. It was only fair that she finally got the chance to return to her family.]

For those of you who knew Miu Matsuoka, it seems she's been returned home at last. I know Luceti's top idol will be greatly missed by everyone here, but she did leave us one final performance to share with her fans.

[And Regal holds up the journal to the video that Miu left. It's less a "performance" and more her just singing (badly) and half-dancing/half-rolling around, but it's the thought that counts, right?

When it's finished, he lowers the journal to continue speaking into it.]

She also left a note addressed to one "Haruki Suzumiya." You can stop by House 27 in the evening to pick it up-- I think it is something you will want to read.

[...Miu's gone? She hadn't been coming to meetings but- well somehow it didn't connect to anything in Haruhi's head. It didn't connect that she hadn't even seen the girl since some came back, and now with a lump forming in the pit of her stomach, she feels the guilt for not checking on her. Had she been gone for weeks and this guy - her manager, right? - just noticed, or had she only been gone a short time and just was avoiding her.

And then there's the matter of this letter. It's addressed...

Well the sentiment should be to her. Biting her lip when she reads this, she nods to herself, and just doesn't bother to answer. Instead, she heads over to House 27 this evening, regardless of anything else. She doesn't call to confirm, just knocks on the door when she gets there.]

[Regal opens the door, and upon seeing a girl he doesn't know, looks slightly confused. He'd met Haruki once or twice, and while this girl looks similar, it obviously isn't him. A relative, perhaps?]

May I help you?

[...The somber mood is ruined almost instantly. But she sighs, trying to compose herself] I'm Haru-

[...No that would be useless.]

...I have all of that guy Haruki's memories, if you wanna test me, go for it.

[This is said flatly, with a glare. She's obviously had to say this or something close to this for a while now]

Then I suppose I don't need to say anything beyond the mention of a certain pageant to remind you what occurred then?

[Oh, he believes it-- this wouldn't be the strangest thing Luceti has done so far.]

Luceti will be far quieter without her presence. As for me, I suppose I will have to find another managerial job to occupy my spare time.

[That's his way of saying that while he'll miss her, he'll be all right.]

I did hope that she'd give in and come to school someday...

I'm sure you'll find a way to manage. I've no doubt you'll be a bit more preoccupied in the days to come.

Did Gelda tell you the good news, or is there something else Sokka neglected to tell me?

[Not long after Regal puts up his entry, Gelda decides to seek him out. He isn't the only one in house #27 who will miss Miu; Gelda had developed quite a fondness for her as well. It's probably for the best that Miu's gone home, but she'd been harboring a bit of hope that the girl would be able to attend the wedding.

She heads into the living room to find Regal sitting on the couch, apparently still waiting for Haruki- No, Haruhi.]

... She was quite the performer, wasn't she?

[He looks up when he hears her approach; there's a tinge of sadness to the smile on his face, but he's happy as well-- happy that she's back home with her family where she belongs.]

A star to the very end.

[She closes the last bit of distance between them and takes a seat on the couch as well, placing a hand on Regal's arm. The ring is still on her finger, as it has been since she accepted the proposal. Their engagement may not be public knowledge, but she can't resist wearing it anyway.]

I'm sure she'll be an idol when she's older.
